mapping movie

I extruded the faces onto the model.

Rendered movie and projected.
But it didn't fit well.

10 PM. We were kicked out from project room on 2nd floor.

Jiyoon and I moved to Jiyoon's house.

I needed to draw outline and fit position again.

New model

I accidently pressed a key I don't remember, so my object turned into weird shape looks like jelly bean.
But Sobaek helped me.

We worked on our project in 2nd-floor project room.
We stared at 2 pm.

Drew edges of model with Illustrator.

This model's shape is quite complex, and I couldn't make it to fit on the outline-image.
In the last MES class, Prof.David had showed us the process of matching and mapping.

I just remember that he used camera tools, so I tried to follow his process, but it didn't worked.

At that time, I always turned the camera, not the model.
I'm so confused about my process.
The biggest problems that I couldn't understand is this:
1. Why did he set on the grid at the first?
2. Why did he rotate the camera rather than the object?
So I called him and he answered my questions.
My process which I did was wrong........ I misunderstood.
I set the camera and rotated the object.
And the model and outline-image are almost fit.

Soldering, again

To check the motor rotation of Arduino code, I observed the movement by marking a line on surface.

But the power was too weak and unstable, so it was hard to control my model. I saw the bottom of Adafruit motor shield, and I found parts where soldering was wrong.

So I soldered again.
After that, it reduced a little bit of the twitch that kept on doing.

Laser Cutting

To cut the unfolded model, Jiyoon and I use the laser cutting machine. We called Jiin to ask how to set the machine. Until then, everything looked perfect. However, when we pressed the start button, it was processing into another model that we did not download. I pushed the stop button quickly, but the machine was roughly shaking with roaring sound. Although the machine was stopped, the point of laser(?) didn't go back to starting point and it just stayed in somewhere in the middle.
The situation was frightening and I thought it will be exploded and we are gonna die. We asked many people include the students of ME class, but they also didn't know how to control the problem.
Finally, we solved that by asking ex-TA guy. The keyword was "Datum".

The Model which cut by laser cut machine is really clean but smell is terrible.

Mapping of moving model 1

Made a simple model(cube), again.
Connected the arduino-motor-computer
Changed code and added delay time between movements.
Changed rpm, motor step, delay.
Fixed the model and motor to prevent from wobbling.
Because of the contact failure, changed the power.
Start projection

Moved vertexes manually

Install Motor Shield 2

Solder the Arduino board and motor shield together.

Connect motor on board.

Play with a motor!
